1st International Seminar on the Japanese Investments for Overseas Infrastructure
Japan Overseas Infrastructure Investment Corporation for Transport & Urban Development ("JOIN") co-hosted the "1st International Seminar on the Japanese Investments for Overseas Infrastructure", on September 30, 2015, with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism ("MLIT") and Japan Bank for International Cooperation ("JBIC"). More than 200 interested people attended the seminar and contributed to the success of the inaugural seminar.
Mr. Akihiro Ota (Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism) made the opening remark, which was followed by keynote speeches from Dr. Hiroto Izumi (Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan) and Mr. Arnel Casanova (President and CEO, Bases Conversion and Development Authority (Philippines)). Afterwards, speakers from domestic and foreign financial institutions and infrastructure related companies delivered presentations and participated in panel discussions. Additionally, the speeches by other distinguished guest speakers were informative on the current status of the global infrastructure market and the challenges ahead for the market to grow in the future.
