JOIN Supports the International Airport Development Project - Construction and Operation of New Passenger Terminal in Khabarovsk (Noviy) International Airport - in the Russian Far East

Japan Overseas Infrastructure Investment Corporation for Transport & Urban Development (“JOIN”, headquartered in Tokyo, President & CEO: Takuma Hatano) has decided and received approval on December 18, 2018 from the Minister of the Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan to invest approximately JPY 100 million in the Construction and Operation of the New Passenger Terminal in Khabarovsk (Noviy) International Airport (the “Project”) together with Sojitz Corporation (Sojitz, headquartered in Tokyo, President & CEO: Masayoshi Fujimoto), Japan Airport Terminal Co., Ltd. (JATCO, headquartered in Tokyo, President: Nobuaki Yokota), and PJSC “Khabarovsk Airport” (KHV, headquartered in City of Khabarovsk, Board of Directors Chairman: Konstantin Basyuk).

This project encompasses the development and operation of the Khabarovsk International Airport, strategically located in city of Khabarovsk which is known as the Capital of political and economic activities of the Russian Far East. The project will be jointly implemented with our Russian partner, KHV and the Japanese consortium comprised of Sojitz, JATCO, and JOIN. This is will be JOIN’s first investment in an airport project.

As part of JOIN’s mission to promote Japanese infrastructure systems overseas, JOIN will support Japanese companies that are entering airport projects overseas. Through this project, we hope to contribute to the improvement of the operation at the Khabarovsk International Airport and the further development of the Russian Far East.
