5th Seminar on the Japanese Investments for Overseas Infrastructure

Japan Overseas Infrastructure Investment Corporation for Transport & Urban Development ("JOIN") hosted the "5th Seminar on the Japanese Investments for Overseas Infrastructure" with the main theme of "Future Outlook of Smart - Infrastructure" on February 21, 2020. In organizing this seminar, JOIN received sponsorship from Mizuho bank, Mitsui Sumitomo Bank and Mitsubishi UFJ Bank, and back-up support from the Ministry of Land Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. More than 150 interested people attended the seminar and contributed to the success of the seminar.

Mr. Masamune Wada (Parliamentary Secretary for Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Tourism) made the opening remark, and host speech from Mr. Takuma Hatano (President & CEO, JOIN), followed by Dr. Hiroto Izumi (Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan), Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkaew (Special Advisor to Eastern Economic Corridor), H.E.Dr. Ginandjar Kartasasmita (Ex-member, Advisory Council of the President, Republic of Indonesia), Mr. Vikrom Kromadit (Chairman and Acting CEO, Amata Corporation), Mr. Ryuji Wakikawa (Vice President, Advanced Technology Division, Sftbank Corporation), Mr. Donald Kanak (Chairman, Eastspring Investments, and Chairman, EU-ASEAN Business Council) and Dr. Jun Murai (Professor, Faculty of Environment and Information Studies at Keio University).
Afterwards, the above speakers, H.E.Dr. Ginandjar Kartasasmita, Mr. Vikrom Kromadit, Mr. Ryuji Wakikawa, Dr. Jun Murai, and Mr. Takuma Hatano of JOIN participated in panel discussions regarding to "Future Outlook of Smart - Infrastructure" lead by Mr. Mr. Donald Kanak.
At last, closing speech from Mr. Fumio Inagawa (Executive Managing Director, JOIN) made successful ending of the Seminar.
