Japan Overseas Infrastructure Investment Corporation for Transport and Urban Development (JOIN) and I Squared Capital sign MOU to collaborate in Infrastructure Projects globally

Collaboration will accelerate Japanese participation in high-quality infrastructure investments across global markets, including in Asia Pacific, Middle East and Europe.

[TOKYO & MIAMI] — 23 July, 2026, Japan Overseas Infrastructure Investment Corporation for Transport and Urban Development (“JOIN”) and I Squared Capital (“I Squared”), a leading independent global infrastructure investment manager, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) to jointly explore and deliver infrastructure projects globally outside Japan, with a special focus on transportation and urban development areas.

The strategic collaboration agreement establishes a strategy for a framework for the two organizations to identify, evaluate and invest in high-quality infrastructure opportunities globally, including in Asia Pacific, Middle East and Europe. Under the MOU, JOIN and I Squared intend to leverage their complementary strengths, combining I Squared’s global investment platform, sector expertise and local market presence with JOIN’s deep relationships across Japan’s industrial and infrastructure ecosystem, to facilitate greater participation by Japanese companies and capital in international infrastructure development.
